UCT—the destination for education, networking and fun
All work no play? No way!
Take a gander at the events you can take advantage of while attending UCT. From cocktail parties to luncheons to privately hosted parties, there’s something for nearly everyone. And, since there’s so much to see and do in Tampa Bay, your choices for entertainment are only limited to what you can fit into one evening!
There are two UCT cocktail parties providing excellent networking opportunities with the people you want to meet.

- Tuesday, Jan. 19, 3:30 pm: Mix and mingle with exhibitors on the exhibit floor at the Opening Day Cocktail Reception. Bars will be open during exhibit hall hours.
- Wednesday, Jan. 20, 5:30 pm: Turn your after-hours into quality time with the UCT Networking Reception held at the Tampa Marriott Waterside Hotel. Always popular, this reception features delicious food, butler passed hors d’oeuvres and specialty drinks.
MVP Winner Announced!
Andrew J. Mayer, founder and president of Murphy Pipeline Contractors Inc. (MPC), has been named the winner of the prestigious Most Valuable Professional Award sponsored by the Underground Construction Technology Association, formerly known as the Gulf Coast Trenchless Association, and Underground Construction magazine.
Mayer will be presented with the award on Tuesday, Jan. 19 at the Tampa Convention Center, Ballroom A. The reception begins at 11:30 a.m., followed by a luncheon.
To make reservations for an individual or table, visit the UCTA website at www.gctaonline.org, or contact Ginger Coleman, ginger@amchouston.com, (713) 839-0808. Pre-registering is encouraged as seating is limited.
It Pays to Stay
Stay to the Last Day is a program developed in cooperation with participating exhibitors who want to acknowledge your commitment to UCT. Exhibitors recognize that your time is valuable and to thank you for visiting with them during exhibit hours, you’ll be eligible to win one of several cash prizes. To be eligible, simply visit with participating exhibitors and have them validate the sign-up form in the designated area. A listing of the participating exhibitors and the sign up form will be in the show program that will be distributed at the registration desk. All entries must be turned in to the location posted onsite by the appointed time in order to be valid. To win, you must be present on the last day of UCT, Thursday, Jan. 21. Prizes will be distributed in the exhibit hall.
To accommodate your schedule and to provide ample time for networking on the exhibit floor, the Wednesday and Thursday sessions will have extended lunch breaks. You’ll have time to meet exhibitors, grab a bite to eat at the concession stand and hang around to see if you’re one of the lucky winners.
RehabZone®
The 2010 RehabZone, sponsored by NASSCO (National Association of Sewer Service Companies), will include “LIVE” displays with demonstrations being performed by several sponsors who are experts in the trenchless industry. In many cases, these displays will be interactive with the audience. The hands-on demonstrations combined with the technical papers will bring an education to attendees that will be more in-line with real world trenchless applications and solutions.
The ’Zone is located in the exhibit hall and provides information on generic technologies used in rehabilitating the underground utility infrastructure. For details, e-mail NASSCO at director@nassco.org.
