The Code of Ethics for Engineers will be presented as well as case studies related to ethics for engineers in the public and private sectors. Attending this session will satisfy the engineering ethics requirement for the annual license renewal.

The Role Of Sanitary Sewer Preventative Maintenance In Establishing An Asset Management Program

There are increasing pressures on the wastewater collection industry from local and federal environmental agencies to eliminate SSO’s. This session will examine SSO causes, ways to increase capacity, potential for CMOM or asset/program management as solutions, flaws in historical methods of sewer maintenance and root control options, successes and limitations.

Massive Microtunneling/Tunneling In Provo

The I-15 Core Corridor Expansion in Provo, UT, is a design-build project that is updating and adding to existing infrastructure to meet the growing population demands in Utah County through 2030. Subcontractor, Minger Construction of Chanhanssen, MN, to date has installed 11,020 LF in 51 drives of storm sewer pipeline equally with pilot tube microtunneling and tunnel boring machine methods and minimal depth of cover. They expect to install at least another 4,000’ before the project concludes in December 2012.
